What you will need:
- wire coat hanger
- about 2 yards of burlap
- hot glue gun
- glue sticks
- clothes pin
Step 1) Straighten out the hanger.
Step 2) Cut the burlap into strips about 4 inches wide. I didn't measure, just eyeballed it.
Step 3) Put the clothes pin on one end of the hanger to prevent the burlap from sliding off. I learned this the hard way as you can see from the picture because I had already stared adding my burlap.
Step 4) Take a strip of burlap and fold it back and forth accordion style.
Step 5) Slide burlap onto the hanger.
Step 6) Repeat steps 4 and 5 until hanger is totally covered.
Step 7) Remove clothes pin. Bend hanger into a circle and reconnect ends.
Step 8) Evenly distribute the burlap and play around with the folds so they face different directions.
Step 9) Hot glue the burlap to the hanger in different places so it won't slide to the bottom when you hang it.
There you have it! I chose to leave mine plain for now, but there are so many options for decorating your wreath. Adding a monogram would be really cute or you could even add a bow and other decorative items and change them out for different holidays or seasons.
