Running Late

Usually on Sunday mornings (and every other morning for that matter), we are rushing to get out the door on time. I try to have all of our clothes ironed and ready to go the night before. I lay out everything (jewelry, belts, socks, shoes, hair bows, etc.) so we don't have a wardrobe crisis in the morning. Well, despite my efforts last night, I still managed to have a little bit of a wardrobe crisis this morning. At the last minute, I had to change clothes and just throw something on really quickly. When I left the house, I really wasn't even sure if my outfit looked OK or not, but time was up and we had to go. This is what I came up with...
Shirt: TJ Maxx (clearance) $5
Skirt: Goodwill (Target) $3.99
Necklace: Forever 21 $1.80
Earrings: Old Navy $4.50
Bracelets: TJ Maxx (gift) and super old (?)
Purse: Charming Charlie (gift- picked out by my wonderful husband)
Shoes: Target (gift)
Total: $15.29

Once I got home from church and actually had a chance to look in the mirror, I kind of thought my outfit looked like it was missing something. I thought maybe a belt would help, so I tried on like 5 different ones. None of them looked right. Should I add something or do you think it is fine the way it is?

On a side note, we went to the pumpkin patch and corn maze yesterday. You can see part of our goodies in the background. I will try to post more on that this week.

I wanted to share a few verses from today's message:
"The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them. The Lord preserves all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy." Psalm 145:18-20
I hope everyone is having a great Sunday!

  1. This definitely look like a thrown together last minute look at all! This is something I would put on in a heartbeat if I had these items in my closet.. seriously! I love it! And I think it looks fine without the belt. :)

  2. Thanks! I think you are right about the belt; the more I look at it, the more I think it's fine without anything.
